Allison Ross
Allison Ross was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Allison received her Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the University of Manitoba in 2003 with a focus on entrepreneurship and marketing. She also attended Edmonton’s Concordia University College of Alberta where she took courses in French and Theatre. She graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Laws degree in 2009 and was admitted to the bar July 23, 2010. During her time at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law she was involved in Student Legal Services in the Civil division as well as in the Legal Education Division. In May 2008, Allison traveled to Granada, Spain to take a three week course on Comparative Spanish and Canadian Law. She was the Director of the Law Show in 2009.
Allison’s practice is a general practice focusing on a variety of areas of law. Allison’s main practice areas include, Family Law, Wills & Estates, Real Estate, Mediation and Corporate Law. Allison is fluent in both English and French and has a comprehensive level of Spanish. Allison is a registered Collaborative Lawyer with the Association of Collaborative Lawyers of Central Alberta and she is the former President of the Central Alberta Bar Society. She has taken a variety of courses including the Intensive Advocacy course with the Legal Education Society of Alberta as well as Mediation and Negotiation courses.
Allison has a cocker spaniel, who is usually around the office, named Sadie. In her spare time, Allison enjoys theatre, dancing, bowling, going to the dog park with Sadie and getting out to community events around Sylvan Lake, Red Deer, and anywhere else in Central Alberta.
